These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RIVR mobile application (the “App”), provided by HydroMap LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using RIVR, you agree to these
Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Important safety notice. RIVR
provides river-flow data, forecasts, and flood-risk information
derived from the NOAA National Water Model and related sources. This
information is provided for general and informational purposes only and
may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. RIVR is not an emergency or life-safety system and must not be used
as the basis for emergency, evacuation, navigation, or safety
decisions.
Always follow official guidance from the National Weather Service,
local emergency management, and other authorities.
1. Description of the Service
RIVR gives you access to real-time river-flow data, return-period
flood-risk indicators, and short-, medium-, and long-range forecasts
for river reaches, primarily sourced from the NOAA National Water Model
and the National Water Prediction Service. Features and data
availability may change over time.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use RIVR.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and
for keeping your credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized
access to the App or its systems.

Scrape, resell, or redistribute data obtained through the App except
as permitted by the underlying data providers.
4. Data Accuracy and No Warranty
The App and all data, forecasts, and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that
any data or forecast is accurate, complete, or current. River-flow and
forecast data originate from third-party government and research sources
and are subject to their limitations.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HydroMap LLC
and its affiliates, partners, and data providers will not be liable for
any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages,
or for any loss of data, property, or life, arising out of or related
to your use of, or inability to use, the App or any data provided
through it. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to
stop using it.
6. Third-Party Services and Data
RIVR incorporates services and data from third parties, including
Google Firebase, Mapbox, the NOAA National Water Prediction Service,
and the National Water Model Return Periods API (CIROH). Your use of
those services may also be subject to their terms. We are not
responsible for third-party services or the content they provide.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by
HydroMap LLC and protected by applicable laws.
Underlying government data may be in the public domain or subject to
its providers’ terms. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive,
non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial
purposes.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may
suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect
the App and its users.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last
updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

public Water Data Watch dashboards and related web
apps such as HydroMap Explorer (together, the
“Watches”), provided by HydroMap LLC (“we,” “us,” or
“our”). By using the Watches, you agree to these Terms. If you do not
agree, do not use them. These Terms do not cover the RIVR mobile
application.

information from government and research sources. This information is
for general and informational purposes only and may be incomplete,
